We are looking for junior, mid-level and senior level developers to join the Systalex team to support our work for the US Environmental Protection Agency. You will be designing and building applications that monitor and protect the nation’s drinking water supply in support of the EPA’s Drinking Water Protection Division.

B.S. degree in Computer Science or a similar relevant technical field
Possess a combination of the following:
Understanding of software design and programming principles.
Experience in designing and building traditional or cloud applications.
For junior level developers and those recently graduated, evidence of relevant course work (e.g., coding bootcamp) may be substituted for some portion of the years of experience here.
For mid and senior level developers: At least 3 years’ experience with developing applications in Java or other relevant programming languages, databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), SQL and version control/configuration management tools.
Able to work and collaborate remotely, be self-directed, work independently and communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge and experience working with traditional or document databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other databases
Experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, VB/C#, Python, Ruby, .Net etc.
Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX)
Demonstrated experience with some of the following: HTML5, JSON, XML, APIs
Experience working with Git or similar version control tools
Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and an understanding of cloud technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes, Cloud databases, CI/CD, serverless computing etc.
Experience creating and consuming RESTful services
Have supported software and/or web application planning and deployment
Experience with ETL or data integration tools such as Informatica, Apache Nifi, AWS Glue
Experience with a modern front-end framework (Angular, VueJS, React etc.)
Experience:
Four-year college degree and approximately: 6+ years of relevant experience for a senior level developer, 3-6 years for a mid-level developer, and 0-3 years for a junior level developer.
