Systalex Corporation is proud to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for over 17 years by assisting the Agency to Environmental stewardship concerning natural resources, human health, economic growth, energy, transportation, agriculture, industry, and international trade.
We assist in the mission to provide all parts of society–communities, individuals, businesses, and state, local and tribal governments—to have access to accurate information sufficient to effectively participate in managing human health and environmental risks.
The purpose of this task order is to provide contractor support for EPA’s Office of International
and Tribal Affairs (OITA) information systems and software applications, data management and
analytics, and related training, meeting support and outreach.
OITA currently manages the Indian Environmental General Assistance Program (GAP), which provides grants to tribes and intertribal consortia to build capacity to administer environmental regulatory programs, funds development of multimedia programs to address environmental issues, including planning, developing and establishing the administrative, technical, legal, enforcement, communications and environmental education and outreach structure of these programs. GAP grant funds may be used by tribes to plan and carry out a number of environmental capacity-building activities across the full range of EPA administered programs. As a result, OITA must perform a range of data analysis and integration projects concerning EPA’s tribal program. Projects include, but are not limited to: data analysis and improving data quality relating to EPA’s direct program implementation in Indian country; manage data relating to EPA’s tribal consultation practices; and training activities for EPA and tribal government personnel on EPA administered tribal programs.
OITA intends to procure contractor support solutions to implement agile management methodologies for various OITA projects in order to automate and streamline its program management, reporting and analysis processes. At project completion, the systems are expected to provide users at all levels quick and easy access to data and information which can be retrieved, sorted, and transmitted in a variety of formats and media. By implementing information technology (IT) solutions, OITA seeks to minimize reliance on OITA customized applications and systems (at EPA Headquarters (HQ) and Regional offices). Instead, OITA seeks to leverage COTS (Commercial-off-the-shelf) solutions to minimize costs, and reduce time and effort on the agile methodology, including, but not limited to: Analysis, Requirements Definition, Systems Design, Development, Integration and Testing, Implementation, Database Maintenance, User and Customer Support, and to provide optimal standardization of data and business processes.
